According to the post about RP expenditures, the most expensive skill slot should be 1250. When I've tried to buy one, it keeps showing up as 1500.

This has been corrected. Slots 1-3 are 500 Role Points, slot 4 is 750, slot 5 is 1000, and slot 6+ is 1250 for both Premium and Basic subscribers.
Starting skill slots are based on the character's Reasoning attribute, and as such may be altered by traits or other things in the gameworld to have an impact on your character's total available skill slots.
